Safe Sleep is Everyone's Business

Explore Safe Sleep Solutions

Every family deserves peace of mind when traveling with their little ones. Because SIDS remains a leading cause of death among infants ages one month to one year, providing a safe sleep environment matters wherever families stay.

By using cribs that meet applicable CPSC federal safety standards and following proper inspection and setup procedures, your property can help provide a safer place for every baby to rest. Because when families travel, they depend on you to provide a safe sleep solution for their children.

From ownership to housekeeping, everyone has a role to play in creating a safer sleep environment for your youngest guests.

    • Check for loose hardware, locking parts, sharp edges, and missing or damaged parts

    • Confirm the crib is compliant based on its manufacture date
    • If any issue is found, remove the product from service immediately and notify management.

  • Check the Mattress, Sheet & Sleep Space

    • Use a tight-fitting crib sheet (not adult sheets) that cannot be easily pulled from the mattress
    • Keep the crib bare: no pillows, blankets, bumpers, toys, stuffed animals or other loose items

  • Place the Crib in a Safe Location

    • Keep cribs and play yards away from windows and blind cords and anything a child could reach or pull into the sleep space
    • Keep away from pools, heaters, irons and other potential hazards
